There are no monthly fees to use OrbitKit Fulfillment. We charge you only for orders placed. Our product catalog, including pricing, is on our website.
Blank Models
We do not promise a specific product blank model, though our catalog shows the possible models that may be used for each category (eg, Premium Tee is typically the Bella 3001). We say "typically" because we may substitute an equivalent product from a different brand when the original is unavailable or cannot be obtained in a timely manner. This flexibility helps us maintain quick shipping times, even when supply chains become stressed.
Extra Large Size Surcharges
There are surcharges for 2XL and larger sizes which reflect our costs. These are set up for the variants in your listings automatically so that the costs are passed as-is to the customer.
Shipping
OrbitKit just passes through shipping fees from the printers to you. We don't make money on shipping.
Most printers charge by weight (and destination, of course), which means you get a substantial discount on shipping multiple items. Unfortunately this means the actual shipping tables are a wall of text and not easy to describe. If you'd like to know what it costs to ship certain items with certain printers, click on the little van icon of the product detail page:
As an example, most US-based printers ship a tee to a US address for $4.61 and a hoodie for $8.87. But because shippers charge the same amount for 1-2 lbs, a tee and a hoodie is still $8.87.
Shopify/Etsy Shipping Profiles
When you install OrbitKit in your Shopify or Etsy store, OrbitKit creates shipping profiles that will automatically charge your customers an approximation of these rates. You may choose this shipping profile when publishing products with OrbitKit, or you may use any other shipping profile you create ("free shipping" is popular). You can also update it later.
It's an approximation because neither Etsy nor Shopify support the exact shipping tables that shippers use. But it should be close enough.
If you use the OrbitKit-generated shipping profiles, we will regenerate them if shipping prices change (up or down) and your customers will always be charged the right amount (approximately).
Ships From
OrbitKit's print network covers North America and Europe, and is expanding. Order routing logic is complex and balances:
Minimizing the number of separate shipments
Minimizing shipping costs
Minimizing shipping times by printing close to the customer
Minimizing print delays by checking real-time inventory
In the event that multiple shipments are required to fulfill an order, you will be charged shipping separately for each. Our goal is to ensure this never happens, but not every printer prints every product, size, and color.
Currently, products are shipped from: US West, US Midwest, US East, US Southeast, Canada, and Europe. Check the "Printers" page in the OrbitKit app for an up-to-date list.
Payment Schedule
OrbitKit will roll up all charges into a single daily invoice. Be sure to keep a valid payment method on file. Failed charges will result in delays to customer orders!
โ
Note that fulfillment orders are invoiced separately from OrbitKit Plus.
